Kind of a Big Steal

I can’t believe I spent $30 on a top. But I just couldn’t help it.(Top-$30, I forget the brand, I’ll report back later. Jeggings-$25, Nine West jeans. Red patent flats-$30, MIA: I bought these last year, still going strong.)
I took a marvelous 4 day trip to New York and stayed with my wonderfully hospitable cousin and family over fall break a few weeks ago. We’re both twenty-somethings without kids to feed, so we spent that entire Saturday shopping in SoHo. This is what dreams are made of, for sure.
I actually found this top in Daffy’s, and I didn’t have a great vibe from the store because last time I had been there, it was several years ago and there was NOTHING good there. (Side note: Daffy’s is like TJ Maxx, designer stuff that the department stores didn’t have use for, for whatever reason.) But this time was totally different, I had to narrow it down to make sure I could eat whenever this fall break fantasy world came to an end. I love the way this top feels!! Stacy and Clinton would approve because it’s so flattering. Let’s emphasize the shoulders and forget the college-induced bulge, shall we?
An unlisted tip: When on vacation, buy things you can’t find at home. You will definitely regret it later. And when you’re thinking about purchasing expensive things, consider the cost per wear. This top has gone to three nights out, and I’ve only had it for a month. $10 per wear so far? Not bad.My daily color choices have become more monotone since my return from the Big Apple. But hey, black and white will never be out of style. Cheers y’all.
